Our computers are faster than theirs, and we can prove it!
There are various methods that have been tried to improve a computer's performance. Most methods have little to no effect unless you increase the processor(CPU) speed. If you increase the clock speed of a specific processor by 20% then the performance of that computer will increase by 20%. Within the same processor family (AMD Athlon, Intel Pentium 4, Intel Core2, and Intel i7) the speed of the processor will tell you its performance relative to other processors in that family. If you look at our competition's CPU clock speed and compare them to ours, within the same processor family, you will see that we have the fastest line of computers available today.

How do we do it? Intel builds in additional margin in their processor clock speed to account for cheap motherboards that have imperfect voltage control. Our motherboards have 12-16 voltage regulators vs. the 2-3 that is typical of cheap mass-produced computers. More voltage regulators mean smoother voltage delivery, which improves stability. Additionally, our motherboards are more precise in setting the correct voltage.

With smoother power and more precise voltage settings, we can use some of that margin that Intel built into the processor speed rating. We do not exceed any Intel technical specifications for the safe operation of the processor, such as normal operating voltage and temperature. (The speed of the processor is not in the specification.)

There are some bad practices in the computer industry associated with boosting processor clock speed. Intel has put out warnings on these bad practices. We do not elevate the voltage to the CPU above the normal range, operate at elevated processor temperatures, or exceed the processor TDP. These bad practices lead to shorter processor life. We have been elevating processor speeds the right way for years and have never had to replace a CPU that has failed.

Intel does not allow most computer shops to become a Premier Partner. You must demonstrate unusually high levels of technical ability to become one. We are an Intel Premier Partner and all our computers come with a full Intel warranty on the processor.
How much power should you buy?
You will replace your computer because it is either too slow or it is broken and not worth fixing. Buying a better computer, will get you a longer service life because the faster speeds of the CPU and the better components will combine to delay its day of replacement.
If you use tick charts and you have multiple indicators applied to the tick charts, then you need to look at getting the fastest computer that can fit your budget. Tick charts with indicators will drive up processor usage to high levels when the market is experiencing a heavy volume of trading.
If your charts are all time based (minute, hourly, daily, weekly) and you use standard indicators then a V12 will work fine. If you use custom indicators then you will probably need to move up to a faster model.
